Моа (рід)

Моа, дінорніс (від лат. Dinornis — «жахливий птах»), гігантський моа — рід вимерлих птахів з родини моєвих ряду моаподібних. Ендемік Нової Зеландії.

Опис ред.

Моа сягали заввишки 3,6 м і важили 230—278 кг. Рештки відомі з пліоценових і четвертинних відкладень Нової Зеландії. Яйця дінорнісів важили до 8 кг.
